Quota International of Barrie Fundraisers

FASHION FANTASY 2007 demonstrates the ultimate spirit of cooperation amongst our Quota Club, Barrie retailers, businesses and volunteers from every walk of life who unite to stage this fabulous show. In 2007 we paid special tribute to our military in Afganistan. Soldiers from Base Borden donned their dress uniforms to distribute 'Canada' pins to everyone attending, then joined our volunteer models to wow the crowd with the latest fashions. We celebrate not only giving the proceeds from this event to Derek Rumball of the Rumball Camp for the Deaf but also our 44 year partnership ensuring that children create special memories at camp.

QUOTA CHRISTMAS BAZAAR is an exciting event allowing our members to express their generosity, the spirit of the season and their creativity.

In the above photo Denise Ummell (centre) of Youth Haven poses with Quota Club members while joyfully receiving a cheque for $1200.00. Members Bev Sprayson, JoAnne Knapp, Barb Sandford, Betty Ann Saunders, Marie Giberson and Bazaar Czar Livia DeGennaro made Quota's Christmas Bazaar a major success enabling our contribution. This makes the 7th year we've been able to assist Youth Haven. 'Thank You' to everyone who joined us at our Quota Christmas Bazaar.

The other one-half of the proceeds is being donated to the Lions Foundation of Canada to continue our support in the training of Hearing Ear Dogs.

NEW YEAR'S EVE DANCE - Rina Krans of Barrie Out of the Cold receives our $3000.00 donation from Marie Giberson and Quota Club President Ellen Dunn. The proceeds were raised by Marie and her helpers who created a fun filled, sell-out event. 'Thanks' to everyone who came to celebrate the New year and help make this donation possible. Rina thanked us and impressed us with the importance of providing for those in need of food, warmth and shelter during the winter months.
