District 18 received recognition from the Bob Rumball Centre for many years of support in the neighbourhood of $50,000.00.
Campbell Soup Labels for Educational Programs All Quota Clubs have collected Campbell Soup labels since 1981. The labels are used by educational organizations as tender to purchase much needed classroom and educational equipment. The club collecting the most labels is recognized at each conference with the Campbell Soup Award.

Camps For the Deaf Ottawa Deaf Centre Summer Sign Fun Camp
In 2006, Quotarians of District 18 selected the Ottawa Deaf Centre (ODC) as the recipient of their annual project. The ODC is a community organization serving the deaf, deafened and hard of hearing people and their families. They offer programs and services that meet the educational, recreational, social and cultural needs of the community. Their Summer Sign Fun Camp received a cheque for $1000 to help them defray some of the operating costs of this first time venture. The camp offered games, activities, mini sign language courses and field trips to deaf children and their siblings varying in age groups from ages three to fifteen. These summer day camp children took the city bus to sightsee at a museum near downtown Ottawa. It’s apparent that to these children, riding on the city bus was one of the most fun things to do when going on a field trip!
 
These happy kids enjoyed bowling at the Merivale Bowling Lanes! The kids were to make a circle so they could listen to some ASL story telling, but it sure takes a lot of time, patience and energy to get them to cooperate especially when they're all hyper and excited!

In 2001 we were proud to give a $2000.00 donation to the Ontario Camp for the Deaf in Parry Sound, Ontario. This amazing camp provides activities for deaf, hard of hearing and mentally challenged children. The donation was used to pay for the registration fee for children who were unable to raise the funds required to attend a one or two week session. The camp was a dream come true for Reverand Bob Rumball, founder of the Rumball School for the Deaf in Toronto. His dream was to provide a facility in which deaf children could come and enjoy a camp experience, and is the only camp of its kind in Ontario and services the needs of children across Canada and the United States.
