| Over the years, Quota International of Owen Sound has supported a wide variety of projects and donated many service dollars each year. We work very closely with our local audiologists and have been able to provide assistance with the cost of hearing aids for a number of people who could not afford the expense; as well we produced Quota Cares Cushions which were donated to our local Cancer Support group. This year, we made a donation to our local Habitat for Humanity project , purchased a voice carryover system for a deaf student attending Georgian College, provided a Christmas basket for a family In need and made a donation to our hospital for the purchase of a cryostat – a device which processes biopsies. As well as local community service work and contributing to Quota’s Club-to-Club Program, we have also provided funds for medicines to be taken to the Dominican Republic by medical volunteers from our own community; and have donated to Save the Mothers – an organization based in Uganda, whose faculty includes volunteer Canadian physicians and medical staff.
