About Quota International of Weyburn



History
Quota International of Weyburn is one of the largest clubs in Western Canada with a membership of over 25 actively working and retired artisans, executive, business, and professional people.

Throughout the years Quota Club philanthropic efforts have focused on the needs of the speech and hearing impaired, as well as a range of special problems faced by women, children, and the elderly.

The Weyburn Quota Club was chartered on April 24, 1954, by Clara Mason (Past President of Quota International) of Fargo, North Dakota. Presiding was Gladys Harrington (Robinson) of Saskatoon (Past President of Quota International). Florence Mullin accepted the Charter. The installation of the first officers was carried out by the Governor of District 11, Kay Rowe of Brandon.

The Weyburn club has provided many District and International officers during the past years. Isabelle Butters has served as District Governor, Vice President for Canada, and Canada Area Director. Judy Buzowetsky has served as District Governor and Canada Area Director. Sandi Schweitzer has served as District Governor.

Meetings
Meetings are held from September to June on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Legion Hall. Members enjoy supper followed by the meeting itself convening at 6:45 p.m. The first meeting of each month is the formal business meeting with committee reports and the second meeting of the month is designated as a program meeting with a variety of interesting programs and speakers.

Dues
The costs of being a Quotarian include a $20 initiation fee on joining the organization, and annual dues of $125. The local club retains a portion of the dues and the rest are sent to Quota International, Canada Area, and District 11.
